As we bring 2021 to a close, it seems a good time to show appreciation for the partnerships and collaboration that go into bringing the Dayton Riverfront Plan to fruition. Nine agencies work together to plan, design, engineer, and implement the plan’s nearly 100 projects.

One of the reasons the Dayton region can accomplish so much is the camaraderie and support that these public-serving agencies share. In the midst of the project, the lead planner for Sasaki, the plan’s international consulting firm, exclaimed, “I can’t believe how much fun you guys have together!” The talented professionals—planners, engineers, and landscape architects—don’t allow turf or ego to hinder the development of these great projects to better our community. From leadership to staff, these agencies work hard to bring the public open space, infrastructure, and community economic development projects proposed by the Dayton Riverfront Plan to reality. We can all look forward to the bright and prosperous Dayton we’ll enjoy as a result.
